Biennially, HAPS offers a full-day symposium, featuring local and national experts in the field of Parkinson’s who are familiar with the latest in Parkinson’s research, treatment and disease management strategies and is presented at no charge to attendees.
Our ENGAGE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER, event focuses on bringing high-level education to those with Parkinson’s, their families, as well as the general public, with the goal of expanding understanding and implementing long-term disease management strategies.
Engagement is key, knowledge is power, and empowerment builds confidence.
Houston Area Parkinson Society invites you to attend ENGAGE. EDUCATE. EMPOWER. On Saturday, September 18th, HAPS will present a full-day educational symposium for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), caregivers, care partners, family, friends, health care professionals, and the general public.
For 47 years, HAPS has served the local Parkinson’s community by providing free programs and resources to the greater Houston area. HAPS exists so that no one faces a Parkinson’s diagnosis alone. This is accomplished through education, advocacy, and support.
This year, HAPS will bring together local and internationally recognized experts in the field to share the most up-to-date information on Parkinson’s disease, in an exciting virtual format. We hope that attendees will better understand Parkinson’s, recognize and manage symptoms more effectively, learn about appropriate treatment options, and leave with quality practical tips for living with PD.
